Your privacy, plainly

This policy explains what personal information Apawrest collects, why, and what we do with it. The honest summary: we collect what is needed to sell you a dog bed and deliver it, we never sell your data to anyone, and you can ask us to show, correct, or delete what we hold at any time.

What we collect, and why

When you buy a bed: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you provide one, and your order details. We use these to process your payment, dispatch your order, send you order and delivery updates, and handle any return or support request. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.

When you email us: your email address and whatever you tell us. We use it to reply and to resolve your issue. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing customer support.

When you join the newsletter: your email address. We use it to send you roughly one short email a month about ageing dogs, joints, and sleep. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw in one click via the unsubscribe link in any email.

When you browse the site: basic analytics data such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate region, so we can see what is working and fix what is not. Where analytics cookies are used, they are only set in line with the consent choices offered on this site, and you can change your cookie preferences at any time using the privacy options in the site footer.

Payment details: we never see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by our payment providers, who handle your card details under their own security standards and privacy policies.

Who your data is shared with

We share personal data only with the services required to run the store:

• Shopify, the platform our store runs on, which hosts our checkout and order data.
• Payment providers, to process your payment securely.
• Shipping carriers and our US fulfilment partners, who receive your name and delivery address so your bed can reach you.
• Email service providers, to send order confirmations and, if you opted in, the newsletter.

That is the whole list. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers as a data product.

How long we keep it

• Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
• Support emails: as long as needed to resolve your issue and a reasonable period afterwards.
• Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe, then your address is removed from the sending list.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your data, where the law does not require us to keep it
• Stop sending you marketing, which you can also do instantly via any email's unsubscribe link
• Provide your data to you in a portable format

If you are in the UK or EU, these rights come from data protection law, and you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. If you are in the United States, state privacy laws may give you similar rights depending on where you live, and we honour those requests in the same way regardless of which state you are in.

Children

Our store sells dog beds and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will be published on this page. We will not quietly reduce your rights.
