Why this bed

A flat slab pushes back hardest exactly where she is heaviest. Egg-crate memory foam is peaked and valleyed, so it gives way under the hips and shoulders and holds everywhere else, spreading her weight instead of concentrating it.

- Wait until she's stretched out on her side, legs extended.
- Measure nose to the base of her tail, not the tip.
- Add about 6 inches. That's the length you want.
If she is between sizes, if she sprawls when she sleeps, or if she is older and getting up already matters, go up a size. A bed only works if she can lie right out on it.

Measure her lying on her side with her legs stretched out, from her nose to the base of her tail, then add about 6 inches. Weight is a useful sanity check, but if her length and her weight point at different beds, trust the length. If she falls between two sizes, go up.
Yes. The cover unzips completely, washes cold on a gentle cycle and tumbles low. The waterproof liner underneath stays on and keeps the foam protected while the cover is off.
Egg-crate memory foam is built to rebound. The peaks compress under load and spring back, rather than packing down flat the way cheap poly-fill does. If your bed does lose its support, tell us and we will make it right.
